I am absolutely thrilled to share some wonderful news about the Cerrado in Brazil, which is the most biologically rich savannah on our planet. It is easy to focus only on the Amazon, but this incredible Araticum Initiative is doing vital work to restore 4.4 million acres of degraded land. They are bringing together over 180 organizations and local communities to use natural regeneration and agroforestry to bring life back to these grasslands. And here is the thing - this project was just named a World Restoration Flagship by the UN, which is such a fantastic recognition of their hard work.
