Paris invests €200 million more in cycling infrastructure

Paris plans to invest €200 million in cycling infrastructure by 2032, adding hundreds of kilometres of routes and making dangerous junctions safer. The plan includes 140 kilometres of new cycle lanes, 220 kilometres of one-way streets adapted for cycling in both directions, and improvements to 420 junctions. Cycling in the city has grown by 47 percent since 2020, and one in ten residents now cycles to work. Paris will also step up traffic enforcement to better protect people cycling and walking.
