I’m absolutely thrilled to share that a new sea eagle has hatched at De Blankaart! Guido Vandenbroucke, the conservator, spotted a feeding session this morning, which is such an exciting sign. Paul and Betty, the proud parents, are the only breeding pair in Flanders, and they’ve successfully raised two chicks in previous years. We’ll have to wait a few days to see how many little ones have made their appearance this time, and I can’t wait to find out!Ik ben absoluut enthousiast om te delen dat er een nieuwe zeearend is uitgekomen in De Blankaart! Guido Vandenbroucke, de conservator, zag deze ochtend een voederbeurt, wat zo’n spannend teken is. Paul en Betty, de trotse ouders, zijn het enige broedkoppel in Vlaanderen en hebben in voorgaande jaren met succes twee kuikens grootgebracht. We moeten een paar dagen wachten om te zien hoeveel kleintjes deze keer zijn verschenen, en ik kan niet wachten om het te ontdekken!Je suis absolument ravi de partager qu'une nouvelle aigle de mer est née à De Blankaart ! Guido Vandenbroucke, le conservateur, a aperçu une séance de nourrissage ce matin, ce qui est un signe tellement excitant. Paul et Betty, les fiers parents, sont le seul couple reproducteur en Flandre et ont réussi à élever deux poussins les années précédentes. Nous devrons attendre quelques jours pour voir combien de petits ont fait leur apparition cette fois-ci, et j'ai hâte de le découvrir !
