Drug used to treat asthma and allergies may also help fight aggressive cancers

I find this research absolutely fascinating! A common drug for asthma, montelukast, might also be a game-changer in fighting aggressive cancers like triple-negative breast cancer. The scientists discovered that tumors use a molecule called CysLTR1 to evade treatment, but blocking it can actually help the immune system fight back. Since montelukast is already FDA-approved, we could see it in clinical trials for cancer patients very soon!
