Enshittification, and what comes after it

I've been online since the mid-90s, and it's wild how platforms can go downhill so quickly. There's a term for this now: enshittification, which describes how platforms start off great but eventually prioritize profit over user experience. This leads to a cycle where users are left frustrated and disengaged. My project, Positron Today, aims to counter this by providing a positive news site without the usual commercial pressures. It's a small step, but I believe it's important to explore alternatives to the current model.
