Country life: The trust helping New Zealand's raptors take flight again

It's amazing to see how the NZ Raptor Trust has grown from a backyard project to a vital sanctuary for injured raptors! Founded by Ron Lindsay, this trust has cared for over 550 birds, including kāhu and kārearea, helping them recover and return to the wild. The volunteers are so dedicated, providing everything from vet checkups to feeding, and even offering educational experiences for visitors. With a new breeding center for kārearea, they're not just saving individual birds but also working to boost their population in New Zealand.
