I’m absolutely thrilled to share that the critically endangered Silver-sided Nomad bee has been spotted in Co Offaly for the first time in 26 years! This rare sighting, made by Joshua Clarke, highlights the importance of biodiversity as there are only seven confirmed records of this bee in Ireland. These fascinating creatures are cleptoparasites, meaning they rely on other bees for their survival.
