The memory that ate the news

I've been thinking about the availability bias and how it shapes our perception of news. When dramatic events happen, like a forest fire, they stick in our minds more than positive news, like a new swimming pool opening. This creates a loop where negative stories dominate our memory, making us feel more pessimistic over time. Positron aims to break this cycle by highlighting the good news that often gets overshadowed. It's all about giving those positive stories a chance to be remembered too.
