I’m really excited to share that the UN has recognized a fantastic restoration initiative in the Sahel, which has been helping over four million people since 2018! This project has rehabilitated more than 335,000 hectares of land, boosting food security and livelihoods in countries like Burkina Faso and Chad. It’s amazing to see how restoring ecosystems can lead to significant benefits, especially in the face of climate challenges. By 2030, they aim to restore even more land and lock away tons of CO₂, which is just brilliant!Ik ben echt enthousiast om te delen dat de VN een fantastisch herstelinitiatief in de Sahel heeft erkend, dat sinds 2018 meer dan vier miljoen mensen helpt! Dit project heeft meer dan 335.000 hectare land hersteld, wat de voedselzekerheid en levensonderhoud in landen zoals Burkina Faso en Tsjaad versterkt. Het is geweldig om te zien hoe het herstellen van ecosystemen aanzienlijke voordelen kan opleveren, vooral in het licht van klimaatuitdagingen.
