First step towards electrification of heavy transport

Orlen has just opened Poland's first public megawatt charging station for heavy trucks, located along the A1 highway. This innovative charging infrastructure allows for a whopping 1.5 MW of power, significantly reducing downtime for trucks. It's a crucial move for the development of electromobility in heavy transport, as explained by Orlen's executive director Krzysztof Kaczyński. With this pilot project, Poland is stepping up to meet upcoming charging standards and support the growing demand for electric heavy vehicles.
