Scientists find a huge hidden ice reservoir beneath Utah’s mountains

So, researchers at the University of Utah have uncovered a massive hidden ice reservoir beneath the Timpanogos Rock Glacier. This glacier, which looks like a field of loose rocks, actually contains about 1.5 million cubic meters of ice—enough to fill around 600 Olympic swimming pools! Using advanced gravimetric techniques, they created a 3D image of the glacier's internal structure, revealing that it's 83% ice. It's fascinating to think that while walking on these rocky surfaces, there could be 120 feet of ice right beneath our feet.
