So, this is fantastic news for sea turtles! The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals just upheld a rule that requires shrimp trawlers to use turtle exclusionary devices, or TEDs, which allow these gentle creatures to escape while still catching shrimp. Conservationists have been advocating for this change, as tow-time restrictions just weren't cutting it. It's a real win for both the turtles and the fishermen, ensuring a safer coexistence in our waters.
