One simple question might be all it takes to change someone's mind

Stanford researchers have discovered something genuinely fascinating - when we ask people genuine, curious questions about their beliefs instead of bombarding them with facts, something shifts. Asking someone "Why do you think that?" or "Could you tell me more about that?" actually makes them view us more positively and become more open-minded, not more entrenched. And here's the thing - the person asking the questions benefits too, developing more favorable attitudes toward the opposing viewpoint. This works because curiosity creates common ground; intellectual humility and genuine interest in understanding build bridges where arguments and statistics fail.
