Since Israeli military operations began, over 160 cultural sites have been damaged, including ancient landmarks like the Great Omari Mosque. The Guardians of Heritage team has rescued more than 1,700 historical pieces despite facing huge challenges like military restrictions and dangerous conditions near the ‘Yellow Line’. Their dedication to preserving Gaza’s 5,000-year-old history is truly inspiring, showing how culture and human life remain deeply intertwined even in the darkest times.
