How did Earth get its water? inside the extreme machine seeking answers

I find it fascinating that the Z machine, usually used for nuclear research, is now helping us understand Earth's watery origins. Alisha Clark used this powerful device to simulate conditions deep inside early Earth, suggesting our planet trapped water early on, rather than losing it all to space. So: Earth acted like a sponge, holding onto water in its molten interior and releasing it over time through volcanoes.
