In Bihar’s Simri block, tests found arsenic levels reaching 704.4 ppb - more than 70 times the safe guideline. The contaminant is invisible, and hand pumps remain the only water source for some families, putting millions of rural residents at risk. So, brothers Arpit and Abhijeet turned a school project into a magnetic filtration technology that targets arsenic at the molecular level. Their approach uses magnetic separation rather than conventional consumables or chemicals, offering an encouraging new way to address a serious challenge.
