Gen Z is rescuing millions in medical supplies

So: young people across the U.S. are rescuing usable medical supplies that hospitals might otherwise throw away and sending them to clinics that need them. In one recent example, 30,000 pounds of sealed N95 masks and hot-and-cold packs worth an estimated $250,000 were redirected from OhioHealth to an under-resourced clinic abroad. Sixteen-year-old Ben Kurian launched Project MedBridge to connect surplus supplies with organizations that can ship them where they are needed. Student-led groups around the country are pitching in too, sorting donations and volunteering between classes to reduce waste and help patients.
