NASA opens its Artemis II data archive to the public

NASA has made around 800 gigabytes of Artemis II science data available to everyone, including 11,000 images and videos, astronaut observations, notes, and transcripts. So: there’s plenty to explore, from astronaut-annotated lunar photos to three reports gathered in the agency’s public science resources. Early analysis has already spotted five small meteoroid impacts during a lunar eclipse, helping researchers improve estimates of risks to future missions. The observations also capture how lunar landscapes look in low sunlight, valuable knowledge as NASA prepares for future trips near the moon’s south pole.
