So: a 65-year-old Dane will be the first person in Europe to receive a new vaccine combining protection against influenza and covid-19. The trial will compare one combined shot with the two separate shots given today, to see whether it is just as effective or better at preventing hospitalisations. Around 165,000 Danes have already agreed to take part, and more than 300,000 are expected to join over the next two years.
