So, seven young California condors have been released into the wild in Yurok Country, northern California. One is especially noteworthy: it is the 200th condor hatched at San Diego Zoo Safari Park to be released into the wild. They’ll join 26 other condors at a release site first established in 2022. And here’s the encouraging part - a species that once had fewer than two dozen birds left in the wild is gaining ground through this recovery effort.
