The Flemish government has decided to build around 56,000 additional social homes by 2042, aiming to ease the housing crisis. The current waitlist of nearly 215,000 families will be addressed with this new plan. An extra budget has been allocated for the construction and renovation of these homes.De Vlaamse regering besluit om tegen 2042 ruim 56.000 sociale woningen aan te leggen in een poging de woningcrisis af te lossen. De huidige wachtlijst van bijna 215.337 gezinnen zal worden aangepakt met deze nieuwe plannen. Er wordt extra geld besteed voor de bouw en hernieuwing van deze woningen.La Région flamande prévoit d'accroître ses logements sociaux d'ici 2042. Le gouvernement flamand a décidé de faire construire environ 56 000 résidences pour lutter contre la crise récurrente des logements. Il sera aussi possible de s'inscrire à un programme de logement qui est prévu.
