A device that revives eyeballs from dead donors could make eye transplants possible

So, researchers have developed this amazing device called the Eye-in-a-Care-Box, or ECaBox, that can keep eyeballs from degenerating after death. It delivers oxygen-rich fluid to the eye, which helps preserve its structure and even allows it to respond to light. After successful trials with pig eyes, they moved on to human eyes and found that the treated ones performed significantly better. This could open up new possibilities for eye transplants and studying eye treatments without using live animals.
