Giant new dinosaur discovered beneath construction site in Brazil

A fascinating new dinosaur species, Dasosaurus tocantinensis, has been unearthed during construction in northeastern Brazil, shedding light on how giant dinosaurs roamed ancient continents. Measuring about 20 meters long and dating back 120 million years, this discovery is particularly exciting because of its evolutionary ties to Europe. Researchers believe its ancestors traveled from North Africa to South America when the continents were still connected. With a remarkably complete fossil, this find opens up new avenues for understanding the diversity of Cretaceous dinosaurs.
