I am absolutely thrilled to share that a rare indigenous artifact, the only known pelt of the extinct woolly dog, has returned to B.C. after 160 years! This incredible piece of history, once raised by the Coast Salish and Makah peoples, is now on display at the UBC Museum of Anthropology. Curator Jordan Wilson, a member of the Musqueam nation, expressed the privilege of hosting this pelt and sharing its emotional story. It’s a wonderful opportunity for local communities to connect with their heritage and reflect on the past.Ik ben absoluut enthousiast om te delen dat een zeldzaam inheems artefact, de enige bekende vacht van de uitgestorven wolhond, na 160 jaar terug is in B.C.!
