Growing old together - but you don't have to be best friends

Five women in Romanshorn are proving that shared living can be a powerful way to age on your own terms - and they're doing it without pretending to be lifelong friends. What fascinates me about this project is how honestly they've tackled the big questions: how do you want to live as you get older, who do you want around you, and what really matters with the time you have left? They've even created a folder documenting each person's wishes for end-of-life care, turning conversations about death into something natural and even curious rather than taboo. So instead of the isolation that affects so many older people living alone, these five have built something practical and deeply human - a genuine community where being housemates is the starting point, and maybe friendship grows from there.
